How do you begin a conversation?

In my role as an educator, I have the privilege of engaging with hundreds of students daily. It’s not just about the subject matter; it’s about understanding their perspectives on business topics and life in general.

Recently, I had a profound realization during a conversation with a particular student. Over the course of our last dozen interactions, I noticed a recurring pattern — her conversations consistently kicked off with a negative tone. As the dialogue unfolded, it often led to a cascade of complaints and excuses.
